Job Description

Position Summary:

The Director of Clinic Operations provides support to multiple physician practices as well as responsibility for the Hospitalist program. Collaborates and seeks guidance from the Executive Director of Physician Practice Operations when making decisions about the daily and strategic operations of the multiple physician practices. Develops and works with all staff and physicians to ensure that practice goals are established and measured for attainment. Consistently works on process improvement and efficiency in practice operations. Directly oversees Clinic Supervisors and supports the Executive Director by managing staff, providers and workflows, and overall support of clinical care and community relations. The Manager coordinates with the Executive Director and supervisory personnel on matters relating to Human Resources, mentoring and goal setting, daily rounding, developing continuous workflow process improvements and general daily operations. Provides reports related to management and supervisory activities, projects and special assignments concerning physician practices and assigned special corporate projects.

Job Requirements

Position Qualifications:

1. Ability to meet minimum hospital hiring standards.
2. Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
3. 5-7 years experience in healthcare administration/management including experience in clinic operations.

Essential Duties:

1. Directly supervises Clinic Supervisors and oversees daily operations of all clinics including staff, providers, and workflows.
2. Daily/weekly rounding on clinics, providers and direct reports.
3. Manages process improvement efforts in the practices.
4. Maintains compliance with government agencies and third party payers, including HIPAA rules and requirements. Proactively arranges meetings with appropriate person to update knowledge and seek out performance feedback in all areas of compliance.
5. Provides management and oversight of the Hospitalist Program.
6. Works in conjunction with Administrative Analyst to assure proper maintenance of all offices and equipment; arranging for services; including new practice set up (Acquisitions, moves and expansions).
7. Consistently seek processes to improve efficiency in practice and operations.
8. Manage and maintain daily, weekly and monthly staff/provider huddles/meetings.
9. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director to develop monthly operational reviews and budgets.
