Job Description

Position Summary:
The I.S. Application support\LSC responsibilities are to oversee day-to-day maintenance of application systems within the hospital and affiliated clinics, To include project management duties, as assigned by the HDIS. Perform LSC (Local Security Coordinator) duties of receive and review requests for access to computer systems and applications. Grant, revoke, disable, or coordinate security privileges upon hire, transfer, or termination of employees, volunteers, students agency staff, and contractors. Enforce and monitor appropriate access security standards, in an effective and efficient manner while balancing the need for information and asset protection. Perform LSC functions that include assisting with Meditech EMR functions and placing helpdesk calls for local IT support and Corporate IT support. Performs On-Call functions on a rotational basis as scheduled.

Job Requirements

Position Qualifications:
1. Ability to meet minimum hospital hiring standards
2. High school Diploma
3. 1 year IT support

Essential Job Functions*:
1. Logs and tracks within the required Corporate Application itXpert: End User Tickets, Change Management.
2. Performs all duties of a Local Security Coordinator: Grants are removes all user access timely, Performs price increases timely and effectively, Assist in review or IT departments policies and security standards.
3. Monitors appropriate access and runs quarterly audits on hospital personnel to ensure that we are not violating any access protocols or HIPPA standards.
4. Provides timely notification to the IS Director of critical errors and / or problems that may be of significance to the organization
5. Ensures commonly used industry standards and best practices are used governing the management and security of the hospital's data
6. Controls assigned projects and achieves successful outcomes through effective project planning, communication, meeting of objectives, meeting of deadlines, and controlling costs
7. Coordinates ongoing communication to all departments, physicians, and vendors on changes or updates to computer systems, their access, and workflow processes.
8. Works with the department director to assist and organize, perform and complete the quarterly SOX audits.
